Treatment&Costs

Doctors

•    You should contact a doctor who has a contract with the CHIF, as he will provide you with services free of charge. •    Contribution for particiation costs of healthcare services amounts to 10, 00 HRK

Dentists

•    You should contact a dentist who has a contract with the CHIF, as he will provide you with services free of charge. •    Contribution for particiation costs of healthcare services amounts to 10, 00 HRK

Hospital treatment

•    You should contact a hospital which has a contract with the CHIF, as they will provide you with services free of charge. •    You need a referral from your GP •    For hospital treatment you will be charged with the amount of participation in healthcare costs per invoice, which can amount to maximum of 2000,00 HRK in total, i.e. 100,00 HRK per day.

Prescriptions

•    Your GP will issue a prescription for you and you can take the medicine in contracting pharmacies. •    For issuing a medication you are obliged to pay the amount of 10,00 HRK for participation in healthcare costs.

Ambulance

•    Necessary ambulance travel is covered.

Reimbursement

•    The Croatian Health Insurance Fund does not reimburse costs which incurred to foreign insured persons during their stay in Croatia. Therefore, for cost reimbursement we kindly ask you that you contact the competent health insurer in your country upon your arrival back home, presenting the original documentation along with the receipts.
