(EN) Your rights: European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and European / national legislation

All insured persons that are citizens of other EU member states and have EHIC (EHIC - European Health Insurance Card), issued by their competent health insurance provider, can use it in all CHIF contractual health institutions and contractual private practice doctor’s offices during their temporary stay on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

EHIC is used directly in contractual health institutions and contractual private practice doctor’s offices and does not have to be in advance exchanged for a Health Insurance Certificate (Bolesnički list) with the Croatian Health Insurance Fund.
